Orphaned right out of the womb, Doldol never had her own mother’s milk. During her early days at our Kaluku Neonate Nursery, she was kept alive by a constant stream of specialist milk formula. She was fed on-demand, just as she would have been in the wild. (This first clip was taken the day Doldol was rescued.)

Fast forward a year and a half, and Doldol has grown into a ‘big girl’ (we have to laugh when we say that — she’s still very young, and unusually petite for her age to boot!). Although she is still milk-dependent, her diet has expanded, too. Watch to the end to see how she now picks greens like a pro. You’ll notice Keeper Peter is hiding a bunch behind his back — he’s stockpiling them to place in Doldol’s stable as a bedtime treat!
