The Pace Law Advocacy Board is a student run organization working cooperatively under the direction of Professor Louis V. Fasulo to facilitate Pace Law School's moot court and trial teams. Course offerings within the Pace Law Advocacy Program include: Advanced Appellate Advocacy (AAA), Trial Advocacy, Advanced Trial Advocacy, and Pretrial Litigation.

Save the date for the Elisabeth Haub School of Law Advocacy Program’s biennial Gavel Gala, Thursday, April 14th, 2022! Join us in celebrating our program's recent success and the contributors who made it possible, as well as our distinguished honorees. The Gala will include a dinner, cocktails, and dancing as well as fundraising opportunities for our program such as a silent auction and wine pull. Students will also have the opportunity to reconnect with upperclassmen as well as network with coaches, judges, and local attorneys. The event will honor coaches and alumni who have made remarkable contributions to their fields and our program over the past two years.

We are excited to announce our new series - Workshop Wednesdays! Throughout the semester, the Pace Law Advocacy Program will be holding various workshops about topics involving advocacy.
Come join us, before tryouts, for our first workshop this Wednesday from 7-9PM! We will have Kayla Kosack teach Cross-Examinations so you can get a head start and make sure you’re prepared for tryouts!

Now that the applications and fact patterns are open for tryouts, please attend our second information session and Q&A where we will answer any and all questions you may have before tryouts! And if you haven’t already, sign up for a time slot to tryout on our TWEN page!

Registration for tryouts for a moot court or mock trial team for the fall and spring is now open!
Please add the "Pace Law Advocacy" TWEN page to access the application and tryout materials.
Tryout dates: July 11th, July 14th, July 17th, and July 18th.
Each applicant must sign up for a 30 Minute time slot under “Sign-Up Sheets” on TWEN. If you would like to tryout for both Mock Trial and Moot Court, you must sign up for TWO consecutive time slots.
You can also submit an application to be a general board member.
Submission materials are due Thursday, July 1st at 11:59 P.M.

Each year, the U.S. News and World Report ranks the nation’s trial advocacy programs based on their performance in national or regional competitions and advocacy training. We are so unbelievably proud of our advocates!

LAST POST REGARDING TRYOUT APPLICATIONS:
Tryout applications are due TOMORROW. In order for your application to be complete, please make sure you have done the following:
1. Sign up on the Pace Law Advocacy TWEN page for a timeslot for July 19, August 1, or August 2. If you are trying out for BOTH mock trial and moot court, please sign up for TWO (2) CONSECUTIVE timeslots. All of the case materials you will need to prepare your arguments are also on the TWEN page.
2. Send an e-mail to [email protected] with your (1) application; (2) resume; (3) class schedule for fall 2020; and (4) writing sample.
3. Send an e-mail to [email protected] with your unofficial transcript (you may obtain this from the Pace Portal).
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to myself or any of the e-board members. We look forward to reviewing your applications and "seeing" you at tryouts!

PACE LAW STUDENTS:
If you have participated on an Advocacy team throughout this 2018-2019 school year, please submit your receipts to Loretta Musial (2nd floor in the E-house on campus) ASAP to be reimbursed.
Requirements for submitting travel and expense reimbursements:
Bring all receipts to Loretta taped to a piece of 8 1⁄2 x11 piece of paper. List receipts by day and total. All food receipts must have itemized receipt plus credit card receipt. Food per diem is $64.00 per day. Please do not do group meals. List your grand total at the end of expenses. All receipts must have name and U # on each page. All personal auto travel MUST have MapQuest directions each way for each day. Air travel please have your own baggage receipt.
