Cuong Nhu Liberty – My Sensei Eats Hay 🥋🌾🐎
Soft style… hay style. 😄🌊
When Sensei brings snacks, the herd follows.
Blending Nhu 1 with Maisy magic ✨
Open heart. Open mind. Open arms.
And just like the monks remind us:
Today is going to be my peaceful day. 🕊️
Soft steps.
Quiet breath.
A mouthful of hay.
Liberty isn’t force — it’s invitation.
Peace isn’t control — it’s connection.
🥋🐎🌾

✨ The dance continues… but this time, I stepped into it ✨
After a weekend of being inspired at Full Circle Farm, I felt called to embody what liberty truly means — not just watch it.
So here it is…
The beginning of my Cuong Nhu Liberty work with my horses 🤍🐎
In Cuong Nhu, “Nhu” means soft. 🌊
Soft doesn’t mean weak.
Soft means aware. Connected. Responsive.
In this video, I’m moving through the opening of Nhu 1 — blending martial art with horsemanship — hay in my hands (because let’s be honest… of course they’re going to follow the hay 😄🌾). A little whimsy. A little play. A lot of heart.
But look deeper…
I’m not asking them to perform.
I’m asking them to move with me.
To feel me.
To join me.
👣 I soften my body.
🌬️ I breathe.
🤲 I open my posture.
🐎 They step in rhythm.
This is my exploration of becoming part of the herd.
Soft style. Connected. Moving in unison.
Just like my O’Sensei teaches in Cuong Nhu —
“Start the revolution within yourself.” 🔥💛
If I want harmony with my horses…
I must first create harmony within my own body and spirit.
And the message echoes:
Open heart. Open mind. Open arms. 🤲💖
Liberty isn’t about control.
It’s about invitation.
It’s about energy.
It’s about trust.
This is only the beginning of blending
🥋 The Art of Love (Cuong Nhu)
with
🐎 The art of liberty horsemanship
Perfectly imperfect.
Playful.
Soft.
Connected.
Imagine if we moved through the world this way —
With our animals.
With each other.
With the earth. 🌍🌿
If this inspires you, try your own version of a “soft practice” this week — with your horse, your dog, your family, or even just yourself.
Let’s keep learning how to dance with life instead of trying to control it. 🤍✨

Today will be my peaceful day ✌️ ☮️ ❤️

02/12/2026

The monks have reached Washington, DC 🕊️🇺🇸 — walking with purpose, compassion, and their beautiful peace dog Aloka 🐕✨ spreading calm energy everywhere they go.
Their message is simple, powerful, and transformative:
“Today is going to be my peaceful day.” 🌿
Imagine what would happen if each of us began every morning with that intention. Peace doesn’t have to start on a global stage — it starts within each of us.
🌎 Peace Walk Challenge 🌎
I invite you to take your own peace walk — even if it’s just down your street, around your block, or through your neighborhood. Walk with mindful intention.
👣 Feel each step.
🌬️ Focus on your breath.
💚 Set the intention to carry peace in your heart.
✨ Visualize yourself spreading calm, compassion, and love into the universe with every step.
Peace is contagious. When we embody it, others feel it.
As my O’Sensei from Cuong Nhu (The Art of Love) always says:
“Start the revolution within yourself.” 🔥💛
And the timeless Cuong Nhu message rings true now more than ever:
Open mind. Open heart. Open arms. 🤲💖
Let’s carry forward this beautiful act of peace started by these monks — not just today, but every day — into our homes, our communities, and our world.
👉 Take a peace walk.
👉 Say “Today is going to be my peaceful day.”
👉 Share this message and inspire someone else to walk in peace.
Let’s spark a revolution of love and mindful action — one peaceful step at a time. 🕊️🌍

Barn Dojo 🐴🤍
After the movement comes the stillness.
Meditating on Annie’s back—
pony tails side by side, breath to breath.
The best place to connect.
Peace.
Presence.
Zen. ✨
The dojo is anywhere.

Barn Dojo Series 🐴🥋 (continued)
The dojo is still anywhere.
Single-digit cold outside.
Warm breath and steady heartbeats inside the barn. ❄️➡️🔥
Today’s training partner:
🪵 a 40 lb bag of shavings on my shoulder
🦵 jumping jacks, kicks, breath
🧠 presence over comfort
You don’t wait for perfect conditions.
You train where you are.
You use what you have.
After the work… the rest.
A meditation nap on the back of my big Belgian heart horse, Annie. 🤍
Laying back, ponytail hanging next to hers—breath syncing, nervous systems settling, hearts wide open.
Best meditation spot.
Best nap.
Hands down.
This is Cuong Nhu.
The art of love. ❤️
Strength and softness.
Movement and stillness.
The barn teaches it all—
when we’re willing to listen. 🐎✨

Barn Dojo Series 🐴🥋
The dojo is anywhere.
Build extra movement into every chore, every routine—no matter how small. 🌱
Small steps add up. 💪
Strengthen your body using everyday items:
🪵 a 40 lb bag of shavings
🪜 a mounting block
🧠 mindful movement woven into daily life
Cuong Nhu — the art of love. ❤️
Open mind.
Open heart.
Open arms.
How fitting to practice in the barn dojo, surrounded by horses—pure spirit, devotion, and presence. 🐎✨
At the center of the barn floor, a heart inlay reminds us every day how essential heart is in all we do… and in how we treat ourselves and those around us. 🤍

✨ The Dojo ✨
The dojo can exist anywhere—but often, it finds its home at a horse farm called Three Fox Farm 🦊🦊🦊
🌲 The Story Behind the Name 🌲
While the farm was being built, a mama fox and her two cubs would emerge from the woods. The cubs were hungry, and out of compassion, the previous owner began feeding them to help them survive the harsh winter ❄️
The mama fox never took food at first. She watched quietly from the edge of the woods as her cubs were cared for 🤍
Week by week, month by month, she came closer…
Until one day, she trusted enough to take food directly from the woman’s hand ✨
🦊 And that is how Three Fox Farm got its name.
🌕 In honor and memory of them all
The Fox & the Full Snow Moon — February 1st
🥂 Cheers to compassion and loving-kindness 🤍

🌅 Morning Reflections | Keep It Simple 🔥
This morning, watching the sun rise by the fire, I found myself re-reading The Daily Stoic. One meditation lingered longer than the rest — January 29th: “Keep It Simple.”
📜 Marcus Aurelius reminds us in Meditations (2.5) to approach every task as if it were our last.
Not out of fear — but because presence matters.
If this moment is all we truly have, then botching what’s right in front of us helps no one.
📘 Ryan Holiday connects this ancient wisdom to a modern echo:
Bill Belichick’s blunt dictum — “Do your job.”
⚔️ Like a Roman.
🛡️ Like a good soldier.
🎯 Like a master of your craft.
No drama.
No distractions.
No getting lost in other people’s business or a thousand side quests.
🏈 And fittingly, in a week, this philosophy will be on the biggest stage in sports — the Super Bowl.
The Patriots, once again, with Belichick’s teachings on the big screen:
➡️ Execute.
➡️ Trust the process.
➡️ Focus on the assignment in front of you.
One play. One moment. Nothing else.
🥋 This resonates deeply with my martial arts path in Cuong Nhu and the Five D’s of a winner:
• 🧭 Direction
• 🔥 Dedication
• 💪 Determination
• 🧠 Discipline
• ⚡ Do till death — do it 100%
Different paths. Same truth.
🧘‍♂️ Stoicism and Buddhism meet here:
The past is gone.
The future isn’t here.
All power lives in the present moment.
🐎 And if you need a living teacher, look at horses.
They don’t dwell on yesterday or worry about tomorrow.
When they run — they run.
When they rest — they rest.
All grace.
All power.
All presence.
✨ Today’s lesson:
Keep it simple.
Do your job.
Live fully in this moment.
🏈 Go Pats.

🔥 Barn Dojo Training – NH Edition ❄️🐎
Who needs a gym when you’ve got a horse barn? The dojo is wherever you want it to be!
• Squats with bags of shavings on the shoulder 💪

• Warm-up with basic middle block kata to get the body moving … plus some punches in rectangular stance in the hay loft 🤛 🤜
Cuong Nhu — the art of love — barn dojo style.

Kata in strange places … at my barn with my buddy Jimi Hendrix (barn cat in training) and Mr Peso at the end of the run in just chillin’ like he watched kata all the time … un-phased, calm, cool … collected … winter wonderland with some dreamy groovy tunes playing in the background - happy holidays from the barn dojo - where the cats and the horses have the black belts in zen 💞
