Hello my friends!!!! I have been meaning to UPDATE you regarding my health and diagnosis. It has been a journey, I finally have courage to accept this is my life right now.

In the beginning of Sept I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. I had an additional scan which also showed the cancer had spread to my liver with multiple lesions. Hearing you have stage 4 cancer was definitely not something I had on my bingo card for 2025. I am being treated by Memorial Sloan Kettering and I am almost on my 4th chemo treatment! Time flies. I consider myself lucky with the minimal side effects. This chemo affects my hands where they feel frostbite like I touched ice or dealing with my hair loss.
I have continued to work lightly… some days it’s easy, others hard. I love working and creating so this has been tough but I am pushing thru this fight! 💪🏻

I will say there were signs since April something was happening in my body. Blood work showed low hemoglobin which at first thought was anemia. In June I was physically exhausted all the time, not myself at all, napping when I could during work installs. End of June I was hospitalized when my hemoglobin lowered to a 4.0 an had a blood transfusion. Starting then with new team of doctors. Then July/August was a waiting game on a colonoscopy for Sept. The pain in my stomach begin & it was hard to eat anything. Weight loss became scary.
I am 43 with family history of Colon Cancer. Should I have started earlier with colonoscopy’s? Absolutely I could have. Doctors chalked this all up to be a menstrual problem which I knew that was not it. Knowing something was wrong in my stomach & body. Trying to advocate for myself with doctors was frustrating.
My point…get annual physicals, blood work done, schedule a colonoscopy & just try early prevention. Especially with family history. 💙

But I am doing okay!! I appreciate all those who reached out, sent cards, gifts, offered chemo driving or sitting with me, sent me texts with follow up check in texts! I am truly lucky to have a client base that care so much about me.

My circle is so full of warm love and care. I have the best family, partner and friends which will help me beat this!! 😘
