Kids talk.

Children with a teacher are engaged in pretend-play: Zoo, imitating animals sounds. The classroom became noisy and the teacher asked the children to speak more quietly. Boy (3 years old) has a snake character, but he really likes the way a lion roars, so he tries to roar loudly. Teacher addresses the boy: If you chose a snake, you should hiss quietly because snakes do not growl loudly. Boy: No comments, please.
Teacher: All right, I’ll stop commenting when the snake starts to hiss quietly.

Did you know that the first five years of a child's life are critical for their overall development? Early childhood education (ECE) plays a pivotal role during this crucial period, setting the foundation for a lifetime of learning and success. Let's explore why ECE is so vital and why investing in it is a smart move for both families and society.
1. Brain Development:
Quality ECE programs stimulate cognitive growth, promoting language development, problem-solving skills, and social-emotional intelligence.
2. Social Skills:
In ECE, children learn how to interact with peers and adults, building essential social skills. They develop empathy, cooperation, and conflict resolution abilities,.
3. School Readiness:
Studies show that children who attend high-quality ECE programs tend to perform better academically in later years.
4. Long-term Benefits:
Research consistently shows that children who attend quality ECE programs are more likely to graduate from high school, pursue higher education, and have successful careers that have an important economic impact on our society
5. Parental Support:
ECE programs often involve parents in their children's education, strengthening the parent-child bond and empowering parents to support their child's learning journey at home.
8. Lifelong Love for Learning:
Perhaps most importantly, ECE instills a love for learning that can last a lifetime. When children see education as exciting and engaging from an early age, they are more likely to continue pursuing knowledge throughout their lives.

Language & Early Childhood

Language impacts cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and language development in children ages two through five. Structural language skills (like understanding sounds, vocabulary, and meaning) as well as practical communication tools (like using courteous manners and nonverbal communication effectively) are both influential in a child's development. Practicing effective language use, making sufficient progress toward increasing vocabulary, and improving communication skills are powerful strategies in improving the growth and development of children. By expressing their thoughts and feelings with language to others and receiving these messages from others, children can learn to function and interact in the world.

Why Are Puppets Important In A Child's Development?
Puppets play an important role in a child’s development because they create a link between play and learning. This is important because at the early stages of their lives, children learn mainly through the art of play, and a puppet acts as a tool for playtimes. For example, through the use of storytelling children gain access to the opportunity to develop a variety of skills and a puppet encourages this.
