At the Y, storytime is more than just reading a book—it’s an opportunity to spark curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning.

In our Early Learning Center programs, teachers make reading a part of the children’s day, gathering together to share stories, explore new ideas, and discover the joy that comes from turning the pages of a book.

Because when children learn to love stories, they’re building a foundation for a lifetime of learning. 💙

A Legacy That Continues ❤️

A legacy isn’t just about what you leave behind—it’s about what you inspire the next generation to carry forward.

In our latest Getting to Know Chris Combe video, we celebrate how Chris’s tradition of giving back continues through his daughter, Keech Combe Shetty, and her husband, Akshay Shetty, who now lead COMBE.

Each spring, COMBE closes its doors for a special day of service, bringing employees to YMCA Camp Combe to lend a hand and help prepare camp for the season ahead. Year after year, their hard work helps make sure Camp Combe is ready to welcome campers for another summer of friendship, fun, and unforgettable memories.

Through photos from COMBE Days over the years, this video captures the lasting impact of that partnership—and ends with a special reminder of where it all comes full circle: Chris visiting Camp Combe this summer and spending time with the children.

It’s a beautiful example of how a commitment to giving back can become a tradition that continues from one generation to the next.

Join us in celebrating Kymya Parker on her 5-year work anniversary with the YMCA of Central & Northern Westchester! 🌟

Over the past five years, Kymya has been a valued member of our Y family, making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve. She began her journey with us as a Before & After-School Professional, and for the past two years, she has brought her experience, dedication, and caring spirit to our Toddler Room as a Teacher’s Assistant. 🧸💙

We’re so grateful for the care and heart Kymya brings to her work each day. Thank you, Kymya, for five wonderful years with the Y!

A big YMCA thank you to the team from PepsiCo who joined us at YMCA Camp Combe last week to help us get the camp cleaned up and ready for the winter!

We’re especially grateful for their help caring for and cleaning up our garden in the rides in/out circle. Their time and hard work helped us get one more area of camp ready for the colder months ahead. 🌿
