Well ... Sonbeam had a successful first day Wed. Sept. 9th. In this time of uncertainty, it was wonderful to return to something almost normal ... (even with all the changes). We were so happy to meet our new kiddos! Excited for the promise of a new year.

Well,
Sonbeam is getting ready to open. We have been busy rearranging our rooms, cleaning the toys, removing any toys that are unable to be cleaned easily ... we have sanitation stations made, face shields are in, separation bins for face shields and book bags, signs to help with hand washings, a no contact thermometer for daily checks ... and a new drop off - pick up policy. Many Covid 19 changes were made and put in place and we only excepted 8 children per room instead of 12 ... so we feel good about our choices and am excited to get back to doing what we love to do ... which is teach.

On Wed. Sept. 2nd ...
3 year old Orientation will be held at 9:00 am to 10:00 ... then the 4 year orientation will be from 10:30 to 11:30. Masks are required.

Our first day of school will be Wed. Sept. 9th.

Hey my Preschool Friend,

We were blessed with a grant from the United Methodist Foundation to pay for our Website and get these new signs made for the preschool. So excited to see them up! We also got a banner made ... will be hanging that soon! God is good!

We still have opening for the 4 year old programs ... please check out our website and contact me for more information. Your child should be 4 by Sept. 1st to enroll.

I had made this for my kiddos and the parents two days ago when I found out about the schools are being shut down for the rest of the year. I sent it to them all personally this morning finally (because I am technically challenged and it took me that long to figure it all out!). 🤣😂🤣😂 It is not easy to put yourself out there in video world (at least for me) but I feel like I want to share this with more then just my preschool family. As a teacher ... I want parents to know how hard it is to be shut down so abruptly ... to not have closure for the year ... especially for the younger grades ... we teach because we care ... and our kiddos are a part of us for the time we know we have them ... we are missing them too. As you will see ... this was my third attempt at reading ... and I just finally decided to keep rolling ... tears and all ... I love teaching!!

We get excited about getting a new bunch of kiddos each year! If your child will be 3 or 4 by Sept. 1st we have openings in our 3 year old and 4 year old programs!

Taking enrollments for Sonbeam. Accepting registrations for the 2020-2021 school year. Our program is 3 days a week. M-W-F from 9 am to Noon. We start at the beginning of Sept. and end the last week of May. So important. Yes we have to try to learn to sit in our seats eventually but keeping thing moving and fun and exciting so they can learn is the challenge I love!!! They will get patience as they grow! Let them be kids!! It’s our jobs as adults to make it a teachable moment for them in all that they do! I love teaching!!

Our Polar Express Day was a great success! What a great way to close out 2019! We have enjoyed this year so far and we are looking forward to 2020 here at Sonbeam!!

We had an awesome time with the “Science On the Go” program coming to our school. What a fun day!! Thank you Carnegie Science Center and Shop-N-Save Seed Program!
