This week our summer campers enjoyed an unforgettable field trip to the beautiful Ladew Gardens! 🌺☀️

Our little explorers became nature detectives as they completed a fun scavenger hunt, searching for butterflies, flowers, trees, fountains, birds, lily pads, and so much more. Along the way, they practiced observation skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and learned to appreciate the beauty of nature all around them. 🍃🦋🌼

There were so many smiles, discoveries, and wonderful moments as we wandered through the gardens together. Seeing the children’s curiosity come to life while exploring the outdoors is what makes these experiences so meaningful.

At Almost Home 2 Child Care Center, we believe learning happens everywhere—and today’s adventure was a perfect reminder that some of the best classrooms are found in nature. 💚

✨ Little hands, big discoveries! ✨

Today our little learners explored a fun sensory activity that encouraged them to touch, pull, peek, and investigate! 💚❤️

Using colorful scarves and our homemade sensory boxes, the children practiced:
🌟 Fine motor skills
🌟 Hand-eye coordination
🌟 Problem-solving
🌟 Cause-and-effect learning
🌟 Sensory exploration

Watching their faces light up with excitement as they discovered what was hidden inside reminded us that learning also looks like curiosity, smiles, and hands-on play! 🥰

🌿🦋 Summer Camp Adventure at Marshy Point Nature Center! 🦋🌿

What an incredible day of exploring, discovering, and learning! ☀️🍃

Today our Summer Camp adventurers visited Marshy Point Nature Center, where they became little explorers on a fun-filled nature scavenger hunt! Equipped with clipboards and curious minds, the children searched for leaves, insects, animal tracks, plants, and other treasures hidden throughout the beautiful trails.

They also enjoyed learning about local wildlife, exploring hands-on exhibits, and taking in the beauty of nature together. Experiences like these encourage curiosity, observation, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.

Watching their excitement as they made each new discovery reminded us that some of the best classrooms have no walls. 💚

💦☀️ Water Day Wednesday is officially HERE! ☀️💦

What a splashing success our very first Water Day Wednesday was! 💙 From pouring and scooping to splashing, laughing, and making unforgettable memories, our little ones had the BEST time cooling off in the summer sunshine.

Water play is more than just fun—it helps children develop fine and gross motor skills, encourages teamwork and imaginative play, and provides wonderful sensory experiences while keeping everyone active and engaged!

Seeing all of these smiling faces reminds us that the simplest moments often become the sweetest memories. 🩵
