White Lake currently does not have power, so i don't think I will have cheddar ranch biscuits. 😟

*edit* my power was back on for just enough time add all my biscuit ingredients, and I mixed them in the dark when the power went back out!

The past two days have been quite the emotional roller-coaster. I was filled with gratitude and was feeling a huge sense of accomplishment when...

I get a phone call from Mr. L&L. He says, "I think I screwed up really really bad. I did ALL of the dishes".

I had to let that sink in for a minute. I had used every bit of starter I had (at midnight the night before), and was to tired to scrape my container and feed it...and this man just told me he washed it. He proceeds to tell me that some dried bits fell off of the container when he took the lid off and that he wouldn't touch another thing.

I want to beat him and kiss him at the same time. It really was not his fault and he knew how tired I was and was trying to be helpful. ❤️ (Thank you my love).

I had one little dried bit - so I fed it. I had some dried starter in the cupboard from last year - so I fed that...and neither really seemed to do much.

I did a sourdough demonstration a few months ago for 4H - sent out a text and my friend Jonita had some of that starter in her fridge and brought it over. So I fed that.

As I get ready for bed I check on all of them - because I really need one of them to do something so I can made dough in the morning. I look at them with a giant pit in my stomach. Every. Single. One. Grew.

Crisis averted. Heart rate back to normal. Thanking Jesus for small miracles because this girl has bread to make!

We have a busy day preparing for tomorrow! I will be at Wolf River Roots and Mr. Lake & Loaf will be in Townsend, Wisconsin at the farmer's market.
