🎓 🏆 White House High School Celebrates Continued Growth of The Crossroads Scholarship 🎓 🏆

White House High School is proud to celebrate another incredible milestone in its partnership with The Crossroads Scholarship. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of its supporters, the scholarship endowment has grown by an additional $250,000, ensuring that its impact on White House High School students will continue for generations to come.

Established in memory of Odell and Esterlene Starks, The Crossroads Scholarship was created by their children and grandchildren to honor two lifelong members of the White House community whose legacy was defined by generosity, service, and a commitment to helping others. To date, The Crossroads Scholarship has given away $100,000 in scholarships to White House High School students.

Odell and Esterlene graduated from White House High School's Class of 1939 and remained devoted members of the community throughout their lives. They operated the well-known grocery store and service station at Johnson's Crossroads before later owning auto parts stores in White House and Portland. While they were successful business owners, they were best known for their servant hearts, faithfully supporting their church, neighbors, and anyone in need.

Since its inception, The Crossroads Scholarship has provided meaningful opportunities for White House High School graduates to pursue higher education while carrying forward the values exemplified by the Starks family.

Reflecting on this latest growth of the fund, the Starks family shared: "Our family continues to be excited to partner with White House High School and at the same time honor our parents and grandparents—Odell and Esterlene Starks."

White House High School Principal Kyle Gilliland expressed his gratitude for the family's continued commitment to students. "The Crossroads Scholarships are changing lives. This remarkable investment represents far more than financial support—it is a lasting commitment to our students, our school, and our community. Every scholarship awarded through The Crossroads Scholarship opens doors for students while reminding them that they are supported by a community that believes in their potential. We are incredibly grateful to partner with a family whose legacy of generosity continues to inspire future generations."

Scholarships are awarded to White House High School students based on criteria established by the Starks family, including character, academic achievement, financial need, and a
demonstrated commitment to serving others.

The continued growth of the endowment ensures that Odell and Esterlene Starks' legacy will live on through the educational dreams of White House High School students for many years to
come. White House High School is honored to partner with the Starks family in creating opportunities that help students grow, thrive, and pursue lives of purpose and service.
