πŸ’™πŸ’› Building Strong Minds in 5th Grade Spanish! πŸ“ πŸ’¬

In Mr. Cruz's Spanish class, our 5th graders explored β€œAfirmaciones Positivas” (Positive Affirmations) and how the words we say to ourselves can shape our thoughts, emotions, and resilience.

Students practiced turning negative self-talk into honest, encouraging affirmations before creating β€œTΓΊ eres…” appreciation notes for each of their classmates written in both Spanish and English.

The students were especially excited to see what their peers had written about them! By the end of class, the wall was filled with affirmaciones positivas - a colorful reminder of the kindness, strengths, and unique qualities within their classroom community.πŸ“ πŸ’¬

Creating a classroom filled with encouragement, appreciation, and positivity - one affirmation at a time! πŸŒŸπŸ’™πŸ’›

🍎🎨 Our Little Angels had so much fun visiting Mrs. Costa’s Art Class! Mrs. Helgeson’s class finished their Johnny Appleseed artwork while painting, gluing, drawing, coloring, and tracing - all while practicing their shapes, colors, and fine-motor skills. They even enjoyed some fall fun with Five Little Pumpkins! πŸŽƒ Every day is filled with little moments of learning, creating, and growing together! πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸ“šβœ¨ A Look Back at the First Day of School! βœ¨πŸ“š

Our hallways came alive as we welcomed our students back to Saint Raphael School for the 2026–2027 school year! πŸ’™πŸ’›

From excited smiles and big hugs to new classrooms, new teachers, and new beginnings, the first day was filled with all the joy and anticipation that makes the start of a school year so special. πŸ₯°

Now, as we find ourselves already in October, it’s hard to believe how quickly the first month of school has flown by! In just a few short weeks, our students have settled into their routines, strengthened friendships, explored new ideas, grown in their faith, and filled our school with their energy and enthusiasm.

What began as a brand-new school year is already becoming a year filled with learning, laughter, faith, friendship, and memories. βœοΈπŸ“–πŸ’™πŸ’›

We’re so grateful for our students, families, faculty, and staff who make Saint Raphael School such a special community. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the 2026–2027 school year has in store! πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸ“Έ Take a look back at some of our first-day memories!

πŸ“£ SRS FAMILIES β€” WE’D LOVE TO SEE YOU THERE! πŸ’™πŸ’›

Monday’s meeting is the first open PTA meeting of the 2026–2027 school year, and we strongly encourage all Saint Raphael School families to attend!

The PTA plays an important role in supporting our students, teachers, classrooms, faith life, and school community through volunteering, community-building, school support, and fundraising.

With so many exciting events and activities planned this year β€” including Trunk or Treat, Purse Bingo, Breakfast with Santa, the Special Persons Dance, Book Fair, Tricky Tray, teacher appreciation activities, and more β€” this is a great opportunity to learn what’s ahead and find ways to get involved.

πŸ“Œ A reminder for all K–8 families: Each family is expected to complete 40 volunteer service hours during the school year and raise $250 through PTA fundraising for the school (not including RaiseRight fundraising).

And this meeting isn't just about hearing updates! Have a concern? Have an idea? Have a suggestion for something you'd love to see at SRS? Please come share it! Open communication is always welcome, and the PTA is a great place to connect, ask questions, share ideas, and work together to make our school community even stronger. πŸ’™πŸ’›
