We took an idea from another provider and went on a Nature Walk this morning, I gave them each a tape bracelet and as we walked the found bits of nature to stick to it, they had so much fun and we ran into some ducks on the way back , check out this cool walnut shell they found it’s a perfect heart ❤️

I got new shoes and asked the kiddos if they looked like fast shoes and they all agreed they were indeed fast and I said I sure with I had sparkly light up shoes like they do any my 3yo daycare girl says “Carey I will get you sparkly shoes and a sparkly dress, but just not today” 😂🤣 love their kind little hearts 💕

They’re easy to print and easy to call “academic,” but worksheets are the opposite of how toddlers learn.

They ask for stillness, precision, and control before the body and brain are ready for it. They reduce learning to something flat, disconnected, and often frustrating.

And when we understand development, it becomes clear this isn’t just ineffective,it works against what young children actually need.

A nap is not just a break from the day—it is vital work time for your preschooler’s brain. When children sleep in the early afternoon, their brains move new information from short-term to long-term memory. Research shows naps can help your child remember up to 40 percent more each day, building stronger focus and better problem-solving skills.

Missing a midday nap can make it harder for your child to hold onto what they learned that morning. The most powerful naps last about 60 to 90 minutes and happen before late afternoon. Shorter or late naps might not give enough time for deep memory work and can even disrupt nighttime sleep. That’s why regular naps support not only your child’s mood, but also their growing mind.
