Meet Amy Kleist, Administrative Assistant for Bear Adventure Club (BAC) 👋

Amy joined White Bear Lake Area Schools in 2008 to stay close to her triplets. Over her 18-year career, she has supported students and families across multiple schools as a health aide, media assistant, and BAC team member. Today, she works directly with families navigating county assistance in Billing & Registration to ensure they have the resources and support they need to thrive.

✨ Her connection in three words: Belonging. Compassion. Community.

🧡 Amy hopes families feel truly supported, valued, and guided through every step of their journey, knowing they have a steady advocate in their corner.

💡 Fun fact: Before entering education, Amy spent 13 years at the Pillsbury Company as a meeting and travel coordinator!

The Senior Center held its encore Senior BBQ event back at Normandy Park this past week. Thank you to the WBL Lions for being our grillmasters, and to FirstLight HomeCare for volunteering to help serve, as well as Linda, our ever-faithful volunteer we can always count on! The seniors enjoyed a nice lunch, and those who ate at the later seating had the opportunity to be joined by WBL FLEX students for great conversations and a little card playing.

⚽ Kick off the fall soccer season!

Our Rec Soccer program is a developmental league for boys and girls in PreK - 4th grade. Players will learn the fundamentals of soccer, including passing, dribbling, and shooting, while practicing and playing with others in their grade.

Practices begin the week of August 24 (head coaches choose practice times and locations). Games are Saturday mornings, September 5 - October 10 (5 games + end-of-season jamboree).

Registration closes August 15.
