Congratulations to Ms. Libit (or should we now say Mrs. Libit Massa) and her husband!

Some people work with their spouse. Some work with a parent.

But how many can say they work with their spouse, their mother AND their mother-in-law?

Meet newlyweds Delaney Libit Massa, a third-grade teacher at Twain Elementary School, and Nate Massa, an instrumental music teacher at Jack London Middle School. They tied the knot last weekend and now share more than just a life together. Alongside them is Ann Libit, a fourth-grade teacher at Tarkington Elementary School (and Delaney's mom), and Sherri Massa, our director of student services (and Nate's mom).

Together, this District 21 family is making a difference every day, proving that a passion for education truly runs in the family.

The last day of school for students is Tuesday, June 2! As we head into the final weeks, let’s celebrate a year full of growth, achievements, and unforgettable moments.

A powerful example of collaboration turned a classroom challenge into an inclusive success at Twain Elementary School.

Daniela G., a fourth grader who is visually impaired, recently participated in a digital self-portrait unit alongside her peers thanks to a team effort involving her aide, the vision itinerant, and her art teacher, Mr. Fischer.

To make the project accessible, staff worked together to create a 3D-printed model of Daniela’s face, allowing her to explore and build her self-portrait through touch.

The result? A meaningful, fully accessible art experience that reflects both Daniela’s creativity and the commitment of educators working together to ensure every student can participate.

Meet Daniela G., a fourth grader at Twain who brings joy and creativity wherever she goes!

When she's not in the classroom, Daniela loves riding her scooter and embracing her favorite colors: pink and purple! Her bright personality matches her vibrant style, and she’s always ready to roll into fun.

Looking ahead, Daniela has big dreams of one day working at Squishables, surrounded by the soft, colorful creations she loves most!
