A true Orton Gillingham lesson doesn’t follow a curriculum or script. Each lesson is curated by the practitioner and tailored to the kid sitting in front of them.

It’s diagnostic and prescriptive. It’s individualized and emotionally sound. It’s cumulative almost like a puzzle with each piece playing a super important role.

We take a lot of pride in knowing each one of our students through and through.
Which sounds give them a hard time.
When a non-phonetic word more multi-sensory practice. Creating sentences and decodable reads based off not only their needs but their interest.

I love when a kid tells me something in a session and I throw it out practice sentences two days later and they say “do you make this?!?!” Yes I do. With all the love in my heart ❤️

I dont know how I missed this!!!!! But I cannot say enough about this man! Being that we run our business out of this space, Chef Kevin and I spend lots of time together. Aside from the fact that the food is amazing… he is always engaging with the children and families, giving them nibbles, and making sure I’m not hungry after working hours of back to back sessions.

Beyond grateful to share a space with people who feel like family. So much love for every single soul at the Flying Spoon ❤️
