June 24th, 2026 - Day in the Life of the School

1. Congratulations to our students taking Proficiency Exams! We had 4 students pass their Proficiency Exams and opt - out of their pre - requisite classes. At North Shore College students who know their prerequisite content can test out of it making their transition into our LPN program much easier.

Adjunct Nursing Didactic Instructor – Pediatrics & Medical-Surgical Nursing II
Location: North Shore College, Wheeling, Illinois
Position Type: Adjunct Nursing Faculty (Part-Time)
Position Summary
North Shore College is seeking a qualified and experienced Adjunct Nursing Didactic Instructor to teach Pediatrics and Medical-Surgical Nursing II courses within the nursing program. The instructor will provide classroom instruction, support student learning, and contribute to the academic success of future nursing professionals.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging didactic instruction in Pediatrics and Medical-Surgical Nursing II.
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials consistent with course objectives.
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
Maintain accurate academic records and comply with college policies.
Participate in faculty meetings and program activities as needed.
Foster a positive and professional learning environment.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
Previous teaching experience in a nursing program preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
