Dear Families,
We want to inform you that earlier today the childcare center is believed to have been struck by lightning, which caused structural damage to a portion of the building. As a result, the fire alarm system and related safety systems have been impacted.
After assessing the situation, the Fire Marshal has determined that we are not able to return to the building at this time. Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with safety requirements, the center will be closed until further notice.
At this time, we do not yet know when we will be permitted to re-enter the building or what the next steps will be. We are actively working with the appropriate officials to assess the damage and determine a path forward. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes to our families and also to our dedicated staff members. We know how much you rely on us, and this situation is heartbreaking for all of us.
Please keep our center, staff, and families in your thoughts and prayers as we work toward a solution.
