It is with some sorrow that I write this, but after much deliberation and soul searching, I've made the decision to close the doors to Treland Education. The educational landscape has changed significantly over the past decade, not least in the arena of tutoring. While businesses like Treland were once an effective way to connect experienced tutors with students who needed support, online services now perform largely the same function in a more accessible way. It has become increasingly challenging to find skilled, passionate and experienced teachers to join our team, and the costs of maintaining a physical space make it challenging to compete on price with online options. When it comes to our full-time homeschool students, while there is even more demand for private schooling than ever before, we aren't in a position to compete with larger for-profit organizations that are backed by venture capital. Even more, I'm very limited in what I can accomplish in what has effectively become a one man operation. I'm grateful for the time I've had with all the students I've been privileged to tutor or teach, and wish I could sustain the business as it is, but it simply is no longer possible. Effective immediately, Treland is ceasing operations. I am truly sorry that we couldn't do more.

For anyone who may wish to get on my limited Roster, I've decided to focus mostly on Trigonometry and Precalculus, as that is where I can accomplish the most for my students. I can be found on Wyzant, as well as contacted through the Treland Website and email.
