One of our LOVV Alum (2023) Bridget Kenny, got to do a Guest piece @ Chicago Tap Theatre w/ select group of Hope College tap dancers! Choreo by Tre Dumas of Chicago Tap All-Stars, who is also her Tap teacher now at Hope College.

Bridget’s Mom sent a sweet message saying: “Thanks for letting her take Tap with you all those years- she’s still learning and performing. She can’t be a dance major or minor because she does not do all genres, but just like your studio, Hope College allows her to take their tap classes and she’s on the executive board of the Hope College tap club so even those who can’t take classes still have a place they can tap Dance! Thanks for your support all those years.”

There are always so many unexpected avenues that open for us as dancers! We are so proud to hear these updates about Bridget and her Hope College peers living out their dreams on the CTT stage! Congrats on your performance! ♥️❤️

It’s hard to believe we are already looking ahead to Season #13! 🍀

If you are interested in learning more about LOVV Dance Company, or if your dancer will be returning for another season, we’d love to have you join us for our Company Open House Next Week on June 22.

We’ll talk through team options, expectations, tentative schedules and some of the changes and exciting things we’re working on for next season. Most importantly, it’s a time to meet our Directors so families have a chance to ask questions and figure out if LDC is the right fit for their dancer.

Before attending, please complete the General Inquiry Form (QR Code). Please submit one form for each dancer.

• There are two separate meeting times; please attend the session that best fits your dancer’s status.

• Families with a sibling already on a team are welcome to attend the returning member meeting.

• If you’re a returning member, you can skip directly to the Returning Member section of the inquiry form.

We would love to have our dancers join us as we represent LOVV in two of our favorite community parades this summer. We LOVV showing our dancers off in parades and it’s a wonderful opportunity for our community to celebrate together and share the joy of dance with our local communities. Let’s show them what LOVV is all about!

I’ve got some exciting news for the upcoming season!

After many years of pouring her heart into the dancers of LOVV, we are proud to announce that Devon Lloyd will be stepping into a NEW leadership role as our Company Director / Artistic Director.

Devon is FAR MORE than an exceptional teacher, she is a mentor and trusted role model who is deeply invested in the growth of our dancers both inside and outside the studio. I’ve watched her passion for helping young people develop confidence and artistry which leads to a lifelong love of dance. Students and parents alike know that this is evident in everything she does.

With a BFA in Dance from Western Michigan University and extensive experience as a professional educator, choreographer, adjudicator and leader in the dance industry, Devon champions the belief that dancers are so much more than their technique alone. She brings a wealth of knowledge and truly fresh perspective to our program.

After months of collaboration and planning with our Director, Aretese Low, both are incredibly excited for the vision, innovation and opportunities this will bring to LOVV as we continue TOGETHER building a program that develops not only strong dancers, but strong people. There are some killer new ideas on the horizon and we can’t wait to share more when the time comes!
