Clare Woods Academy is a non-public, non-profit alternative day school providing specialized education in a therapeutic setting. Apply for your child today!

Our program supports student's diverse needs, empowering them to reach their fullest potential. We have been in-person going on 8 weeks, with AMAZING results! We have instituted new safety protocols to keep our in-person learning safe and successful! We currently have only about 10 openings for students, primary through high school, but we want to help all those that we can!

Exciting updates are coming to the Clare Woods Adult Day Program!

As we've continued developing our newest program, we've been working to create opportunities that meet the different needs of adults and families in our community. We're excited to share the next steps—and there are now two ways to be part of what's ahead at Clare Woods.

Opening October 5: Our Adult Day Program will welcome semi-independent adults ages 22+ who are looking for a professional, active, and social environment for their next stage of life.

Participants can choose a 2-, 3-, or 5-day schedule and take part in social and recreational activities, community experiences, personal development, and paid on-site micro-employment through our digital print and design business. The program runs from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and is currently available through private pay or IL ABLE accounts.

Looking ahead to 2027: We are also working toward launching a separate Medicaid Waiver-funded Community Day Services option. Families interested in Waiver-funded programming can connect with us now to join our priority waitlist.

🏈 We’re cheering on Julian! 🏈

Julian, one of our Clare Woods Academy high school students, recently achieved an exciting milestone by joining the football team at Naperville Central High School! He suited up in his uniform and took the field for his first game—and we couldn’t be prouder.

Our supply closets are officially restocked!

Yesterday, the incredible team from TOPS Products LLC in Naperville delivered a year’s worth of supplies for Clare Woods Academy and our Adult Day Program. Their generous donation included boxes and boxes of essential items that will support our students, adult participants, teachers, and staff throughout the coming year.

The TOPS team also recreated a photo in front of our Academy mural, where they posed during a previous donation delivery. We are so grateful to welcome them back and continue this wonderful community partnership!

A huge thank you to the incredible team from Whole Foods Market for spending the day volunteering with Clare Woods!

Their team helped paint walls, assemble furniture, and prepare our new Adult Day Program for its opening later this year. Their hard work helped us accomplish so much in just a few hours!

This grant will help us support the interdisciplinary staffing and care coordination that provide our students with daily, no-cost, school-based access to integrated, specialized behavioral health services—ensuring they receive the comprehensive support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
