We are sending this message to get your input about if/when you would like to have a Wheatland Alumni School Reunion in 2025. We bring this to you because we need to know first and foremost if there is sufficient interest in having one. Attendance at Reunions has continued to decrease in recent decades. In an attempt to turn this around, we brainstormed and tried different ideas in hopes that we might generate renewed interest, such as changing the date, time, type of event, and even having it in coordination with one of the September Harvest Days. We did see an uptick temporarily, but then a decline again. For this to be a quality, enjoyable event for everyone, a lot of time and hard work has been contributed in the past by just a handful of volunteers.
In recent years, the Wheatland Alumni Association Corporation with a Board of Directors was established with the hope that this structure would carry our organization into perpetuity.
After much work, our Association was granted non-profit 501c3 status, a true achievement. Unfortunately, Covid put a dagger in the heart of participation, and it has been difficult to “rally
the troops” since that time. Perhaps there are those of you who would enjoy taking on the responsibility of carrying the Alumni Association forward. If so, please let us know.
We are very proud Alums of Wheatland, and our hearts will always be there. We personally have generations of family members who are also Alums. So, we deeply care about
the past, present, and future of the School and of those Alums who not only graduated from Wheatland, but who ever sat there at a desk. So, we are sending you this message to get your
input about what YOU all think the future of the Alumni Association should be. We feel it is now time for others to step in and carry the torch.
Thank you for listening, and we will look forward to hearing from you. If you prefer to send confidential information, please send it by messenger on this page, and we will handle it accordingly. We will give this a few weeks/months, then let you know the results.

We Are Having A School Reunion!!!!!

The Wheatland Alumni Banquet School Reunion
September 10, 2022
It’s the same day as the Annual Harvest Festival on the Square!!

We are excited to reunite!
And to welcome everyone back, there will be no admission charged!!!
But, donations can be made at the door.

Classes are encouraged to enter floats in the Harvest Festival Parade, which begins at 11:00. You can complete a registration form for the parade on their FB Page @ Wheatland Missouri Harvest Festival.

10:00: The gym will open for Alums with donuts and coffee prior to the parade at 11:00.
12:00: The School Reunion will begin after the parade with
a picnic of great finger foods in the gym. Fun & fellowship with
old friends will be the theme of the day!

Classes who have had anniversary dates in 2020, ‘21, and ‘22, are especially encouraged to round up your classmates and enjoy the day at the School and on the Square. Please let us know so we can reserve a table for your class. [email protected] or [email protected]

And remember, the Reunion is for anyone who ever sat behind a desk at Wheatland School. Come back and see old friends and classmates!!!

This is to let everyone know that the Wheatland Alumni Association has confirmed there will be no 2022 spring School Alumni Banquet Reunion, but plans are in discussion to have one later this year. Alumni Chairman, Jocelyn Wheeler, and the rest of the Board want everyone to know we are excited about resuming the annual tradition and miss seeing our fellow Wheatland School friends and classmates. Stay tuned ❗️

CAUTION STILL THE BEST CHOICE FOR THE HEALTH OF ALL OF OUR ALUMS OF ALL AGES

Due to ongoing Covid health concerns and uncertainty related to group gatherings, there will be no Wheatland Alumni School Reunion in the spring of 2021. Organizers are hopeful an event can be planned for late summer or early fall, and an announcement will be made should a future date be set. Everyone have a safe, healthy and happy summer!
