Say hello to Jess Best and Jonah Moore, our amazing 2026 Teen Lodge Counselors!
These two will be your go‑to people during your stay—handling logistics, answering questions, and making sure Teen Lodge feels like home.

If you missed it, an email introducing them (plus key info for next week) went out a couple of days ago.

A little about them:
• Jess is a 2x Baylor grad and a middle school history teacher
• Jonah is a Baylor Junior majoring in Choral Music Education

They’re counting down the days until they get to meet our 2026 students—less than a week to go.

Excitement for CVI 2026 continues building!

8 more days of vocal preparation, 8 more days of anticipation — all leading to one transformative week in the mountains! 💫

While students are polishing repertoire and strengthening technique, the CVI faculty is deep in their own creative preparation. Across the program, our team is:

✨crafting lesson plans — voice teachers shaping individualized strategies to help each singer unlock new levels of artistry

✨refining coaching materials — the vocal coach preparing targeted exercises, diction insights, and musical tools for every rehearsal room

✨designing acting sessions — the acting coach building workshops that stretch imagination, deepen character work, and expand expressive freedom

✨reviewing student submissions — listening, planning, and tailoring approaches to meet singers exactly where they are

✨collaborating as a team — aligning goals, sharing ideas, and ensuring every moment of the week supports growth, confidence, and artistic courage

The preparation on both sides — student and faculty — is part of the magic. Each day brings us closer to stepping into the Colorado mountains together, ready for breakthroughs, connection, and the kind of transformation that only CVI can spark!

This Friday, May 15th, the Colorado Suzuki Institute, Colorado Vocal Institute, and Colorado Chamber Music Institute come together in support of the Colorado Institute of Music for a special fundraising event.

Our programs share a mission: to inspire young musicians, nurture artistic excellence, and build a vibrant musical community across Colorado. Your support helps us provide transformative educational experiences, world‑class faculty, and opportunities that shape the next generation of artists.
