Last Friday, we celebrated Michaelmas together as a school.

Michaelmas reminds us that the dragons we face aren't always the ones in fairy tales. They can be our fears, doubts, and inner struggles. Through courage and strength of will, we learn to face these challenges and find the light within ourselves.

What a beautiful afternoon of gathering together, sharing a meal, and celebrating the season.

A heartfelt thank you to Family Council, Terin Bagley, and everyone who helped bring our Harvest Festival to life. So many hands and hearts made this special day possible!

Our Self-Study with the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education continues, and this week we’re exploring the third principle at the heart of Public Waldorf education.

Principle 3 | Social Change Through Education

Public Waldorf education exists to serve both the individual and society while supporting each student’s unique capacities while nurturing the confidence and responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the world.

We strive to develop independent thinkers, compassionate community members, and capable young people with the self-awareness, initiative, and social responsibility to turn ideas into action.

Growing individuals. Strengthening communities. Inspiring change.

Well that's a wrap on Fun Run 2026. Together we raised $52,026! Thanks to our amazing MPCS community, these funds will support teacher training, campus improvements, classroom needs, and more.

We are so grateful for the energy, generosity, and commitment you continue to pour into our school. Special thanks to Julie Wheeless and her whole team for bringing the energy and inspired planning to allow us to SOAR. Thank you to and Spark Creative for capturing the day and helping us tell our story.

We did this together and we are so grateful.

Through something as simple as jumping rope, our first graders bring body and brain together, strengthening rhythm, balance, coordination, spatial awareness, and concentration.

In Waldorf education, movement isn’t separate from learning. It’s part of it.

Our Self-Study with the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education continues, and this week we’re exploring the second principles at the heart of Public Waldorf education.

Principle 2 | Phases of Child Development

Childhood unfolds in stages and education should, too.

Public Waldorf education recognizes that human development proceeds in approximate seven-year phases, each with characteristic physical, emotional, and cognitive dimensions.

With this understanding, we thoughtfully align what children learn, how they learn it, and when they encounter it with each stage of development.

Last Friday, our community came together and created something truly beautiful.

Our students ran their hearts out while parents, family members, teachers, staff, and directors lined the course cheering our kids on.

And together, we’ve already raised more than $43,000 — and we’re still going! We have 9 days left to reach our schoolwide goal. These funds flow right back into the life of our school helping us care for our campus, support our teachers, deepen their training, and continue creating a rich and meaningful education for our children.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. We appreciate you.
