Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is just stop the track.

I'll be honest, I still do this. In the middle of a spiral, a self-critical loop, a thought that's going nowhere good, I literally say to myself: "Nope. Not that."
It sounds simple. It is simple. And it works.

Because here's what I've learned: you don't always need to know what thought to replace it with. You just need to catch it early enough to not go further down that road. That pause, that choice, is bigger than it looks.
