WCJC has scholarship opportunities that can help make college more affordable, but there is one important step students should not overlook: complete your FAFSA!

Even if you think you won’t qualify for financial aid, APPLY ANYWAY. Don’t count yourself out before you have even tried!

What exactly does TRiO SSS do?

More than you may realize!

Some TRiO SSS services may overlap with services provided by other departments across WCJC, and that collaboration is SO important. Many of these services are also federally required components of the TRiO Student Support Services grant and must be provided to our eligible TRiO participants.

From academic tutoring and course selection guidance to financial aid assistance, financial literacy, and transfer support, TRiO SSS works alongside our campus partners to help students move from App2Cap🎓

TRiO is continuing with our theme of financial literacy information this week 🤓

Today we’re breaking down the difference between Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized Student Loans. While both can help cover the cost of your education, there is one BIG difference you should understand: who is responsible for the interest and when it begins accruing.

Student loans do have to be paid back. Take the time to understand what you are borrowing and what repayment may look like later. Borrow smart today so you are better prepared for tomorrow!
