💙🎨Our Voyagers in action, serving our community!
One of our recently graduated 8th grade alumni from the class of 2026 and several wonderful 7th graders, who are now officially 8th graders, kicked off their summer yesterday by volunteering at the SHS Summer Sizzler at King Oak Hill. Some future Voyagers pictured below
What a fun and meaningful way to celebrate the end of an incredible school year—bringing our school communities together, giving back, and making lasting memories. We are so proud of these students for demonstrating leadership, kindness, and a commitment to service.

What an exciting day! 🎉☀️
Wednesday, June 10th marked our last day of school for the 2025–2026 school year.
Our faculty and staff welcomed students this morning, and everyone enjoyed time outside before gathering for Morning Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance on a beautiful day that God graciously provided.
Following prayer, students returned to their homerooms, received their yearbooks, and began one of our favorite traditions—signing each other's yearbooks. It was heartwarming to see 7th graders signing 5th graders' yearbooks, teachers adding special messages, and students sharing laughter, memories, and well wishes. There may have even been a tear or two as we reflected on a wonderful year together.
We ended the day with Mass, celebrated by Father Cullen. Mrs. Bianchi shared a special blessing with the 7th grade students, commissioning them as the new student leaders of Saint Francis Xavier and welcoming them as the Class of 2027!
Today, we closed an important chapter and celebrated the friendships, growth, and accomplishments that made this year so special.
Now it's time for a well-deserved summer break. But before we go, put on those sunglasses—our Voyager future is bright! 😎✨
Have a safe, happy, and blessed summer, Voyagers! 💙💛 Boston Catholic Schools

🎨 From Parent Leader to Art Teacher 🎨
Many members of our Voyager community already know Mrs. Julie McCarthy as a dedicated Saint Francis Xavier parent, Parent Association co-leader, volunteer, and champion of our school. This fall, we are excited to share that she will be taking on a new role in our community as our Art Teacher for students in Grades 5–8.
Mrs. McCarthy brings extensive experience in art education, including more than a decade teaching art in Weymouth Public Schools, teaching at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and co-founding a children's art camp focused on global cultures and creative expression. She holds a Master’s Degree in Art and Design in Education and is licensed in Visual Arts in Massachusetts.
As the mother of three boys, including Bobby, who will enter Grade 7 this fall, Julie knows firsthand what makes Saint Francis Xavier such a special place. With her youngest now school age, she is excited to return to the classroom and combine her passion for education, creativity, and faith-filled community.
Mrs. McCarthy has an exciting vision for the future of our art program and is eager to help students explore new artistic techniques, develop their creative confidence, and showcase their talents. She is incredibly excited to get started and begin working with our Voyagers.
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. McCarthy on this new role and wishing her every success as she begins this exciting new chapter at Saint Francis Xavier! 💙💛
