Ever wonder what really happens at school after the students go home? The staff at Hamilton are finally letting the secret out (sort of!) π
For Hamilton's inaugural talent show, staff put together a hilarious video offering a sneak peek at what goes on in the building once students have left for the day. Check out the video and see what happens when the kids leave for the day, and be reminded, yet again, just how awesome our educators are! πΎ

Summer is almost here, and the last day of school is just around the corner! βοΈ
As our Wildcats head into summer break next Friday, we encourage all students to keep their reading skills sharp with our Summer Reading Program and recommended reading lists for every grade level.
As always, we're excited to partner with our friends at Weymouth Public Libraries, where students can join a fun Candyland-themed Summer Reading Challenge! Follow the game board, complete reading activities, and earn chances to win raffle prizes throughout the summer.
Learn more about K-12 summer reading and view recommended reading lists by grade level here: www.weymouthschools.org/summer-reading
Happy reading, Wildcats! πΎβοΈ

Chapman, here they come!πΎ
This week, 5th graders across the district got a sneak peek at life at Chapman Middle School as each class visited the building to begin their transition to next year. Students became acquainted with the building, learned about what to expect, and had the opportunity to ask questions of our incredible Wildcat Leaders.
Thank you to Chapman staff and student leaders for helping make this huge transition a little easier...and a lot more exciting!

Of the 7 well-deserved nominations for the night, we extend special congratulations to our statewide winners:
π Best Supporting Actor: Cameron Peacock for his performance as Damian
π Best Lighting Design: Cooper McCarty & Natalie Yusam
To the WHTC: congratulations on another fabulous season and for representing Weymouth with talent and heart. We hear you're already hard at work planning next year's season, and we cannot wait! π

Civic engagement was in the spotlight at Chapman today!
This morning, Chapmanβs 8th graders presented their work at the annual Civics Fair, showcasing projects that tackle real issues affecting our schools and community.
Working in teams, students identified causes they care about, researched potential solutions, and advocated for change by engaging with school leaders, Town officials, and other stakeholders. Topics ranged from updating the turf field at Weymouth High School and expanding access to healthcare to easing the transition from elementary to middle school.
Bravo to our students for their thoughtful research and creativity, and thanks to Mr. Poirier and the Chapman team, who work to bring this event to fruition every year!

TFW we watch our soon-to-be graduates walk the halls where they once stood as kindergartners: ππ₯Ήβ€οΈ
Today, the WHS Class of 2026 returned to the elementary schools where it all began! Our seniors spent the day revisiting familiar hallways, reconnecting with former teachers, and inspiring the next generation of Wildcats. They shared stories, old jokes, and, at Murphy at least, a healthy dose of "6-7" humor that got plenty of laughs from the younger students.
Thank you to our elementary schools for welcoming them back for one last visit before graduation! Senior parents: share your photos of the other school visits in the comments, please!
