🔥🚒 We’re kicking off National Fire Prevention Week! 🚒🔥

Our preschoolers had a busy day learning all about fire safety! We talked about things that are hot and not safe to touch, what to do if we see something dangerous, and how firefighters are our friends who are here to help. ❤️

We also practiced our fire drill and learned how to crawl low under the “smoke” to get to safety. The kids did a great job listening, learning, and practicing these important safety skills! 🧯👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

We’re proud of our little firefighters-in-training! 🔥❤️🚒

📚💛 A big thank you to one of our wonderful preschool parents for coming in to read to us! We love when our families get involved and share their time and talents with our little learners.

Thank you for making story time extra special! 🥰📖

We are so incredibly grateful to a generous family in Warrenton for donating a playhouse, climbing piece, and picnic table to our preschool! 💕🏡

These wonderful additions are already bringing so much excitement and fun to our sweet kiddos. We are so thankful for families who think of our preschool and help make it an even more special place for our little learners to play, explore, and grow! 🌱💛

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 🥰

Update!!! We have sprouts!!!

☀️ We’re soaking up the last little bits of sunshine while we can! Our sweet kiddos have been busy building sandcastles and planting seeds. 🏖️🌱

But what did we plant? 🤔 We’re excited to watch them grow—and even more excited to eventually eat what we planted! 😋🌿

🍓🍌 We had some leftover fresh fruit, so we decided to turn it into a little kitchen adventure! Our sweet kiddos helped make delicious smoothies and put our own spin on a yummy fruit cobbler. 🥤🍎🫐

A little leftover fruit turned into lots of fun, learning, and tasty treats! 💕

Our 3s had so much fun learning all about how apples grow today! We learned about the different stages of an apple’s life and then got to make our very own applesauce.

Of course, we had to do a little taste testing, too! We tried yellow, green, and red apples and then decided which color was our favorite. Such a fun, hands-on way to learn about apples! 🍎🍏

🌧️ Our sweet kiddos didn’t let the rain keep them from having fun last week! They were still able to climb, explore, and get some energy out indoors. 💕🧗‍♀️

Rainy days can’t stop the fun at preschool! ☔️😊

Our first days of preschool have been so busy and SO much fun that we’ve fallen a little behind on posting! 💛

Last week, we had a special treat when one of our parents came to visit and read a story to us! 📚✨ We love having our families be a part of our preschool days, and the kids were so excited to have a special guest reader!

We’ve been learning, playing, making new friends, and settling into our preschool routine—and we can’t wait to share more of our adventures! 🥰

We are so excited to be adding the finishing touches to our indoor playground at Pleasant Valley Preschool!

Gross motor skills are such an important part of preschool, and we want to give our little learners plenty of opportunities to climb, grow, move, and explore—even when the weather outside doesn’t cooperate!

We can’t wait for our preschoolers to enjoy this fun new space!
