We’re excited to welcome Kim and Coach Emory Horne to the Wewahitchka High School family!

Mrs. Horne teaches 7th Grade Civics and 8th Grade U.S. History, while Coach Horne serves as our Head Football Coach and Athletic Director. Married for 31 years and proud parents of two sons, the Hornes are excited to begin their first year together as Wewa Gators!

Wewa is especially meaningful to Coach Horne, who is a proud graduate of Wewahitchka High School. We are so glad to have the Hornes as part of our Gator family!

Today our Gator family celebrated the retirement of Mr. Eric Bidwell. Thirty-two years of making a difference in the lives of our students. We appreciate your dedication to education and wish you lots of happiness in your retirement!!

❤️ FREE HEART SCREENINGS FOR GULF COUNTY STUDENTS! ❤️

In memory of Chance, the St. Joe Foundation, Chance Spirit Corporation, and the Education Foundation of Gulf County are partnering with Who We Play For to provide FREE heart screenings for Gulf County students.

We especially encourage families to register their sixth grader, student-athlete, Wewahitchka Jr./Sr. High School student, or any student they would like to have screened. The screening is a quick, painless ECG/EKG that takes only about five minutes and is reviewed by a board-certified pediatric cardiologist.

There is NO COST to families. ❤️ The cost of each screening is being covered by the Education Foundation of Gulf County, thanks to funding provided by the St. Joe Foundation.
