Good afternoon, Elmore County! This is Richard Dennis, Superintendent of Elmore County Public Schools. Next Tuesday students are out of school as we recognize Parent Report Day. You may visit the school’s website for details scheduling appointments.The Panthers and Bulldogs football teams are both idle this week while SEHS is celebrating homecoming tonight as they host Eufaula High School. Pregame in Millbrook starts at 6:30 with Homecoming Court and the crowning of the 2026 Homecoming Queen. And the Indians are on the road traveling east to take on Smith Station High School.All four high school volleyball teams will participate in the Elmore County Tournament at HHS tomorrow; ECHS Volleyball is home Tuesday vs. Tallassee and has a big region match at home vs. Beauregard on Thursday; HHS travels to BTW on Tuesday, and SEHS Volleyball travels to Chilton County on Monday.SEHS 5-0 Flag Football plays at Marbury Tuesday and at Park Crossing Thursday; ECHS Flag Football is at ACA on Tuesday and at Holtville on Thursday. WHS Flag Football is at Pike County Monday and home v. Percy Julian on Thursday.All four Varsity cheer teams will compete at the Central Regional Cheer Competition on Monday at 17 Springs.WHS and HHS Cross Country teams are traveling to Hoover for the Spain Park Invitational on Saturday, and ECHS Cross Country competes at Montgomery Academy’s Swoop Loop on Thursday.Wizard of Oz presented by the WHS Theatre Guild debuted Thursday, and there are opportunities to catch the show through next Sunday!Have a great afternoon and enjoy the weekend!Every Student Empowered, Every Student Succeeds.

Looking ahead Parent Report Day is scheduled for September 29 so make sure to follow up with your child on any assignments that need to be completed. You may visit the school’s website for details scheduling appointments.Lady Liberty Kickoff Assembly for all Elmore County 2nd graders is next Thursday at WHS Competition Gym and believe me it will be exciting and extremely loud!Friday Night Lights are bright in Elmore County as all four teams host tonight. HHS takes on Valley tonight at Boykin Chapman and SEHS will host Pike Road at 17 Springs. ECHS and WHS are both celebrating homecoming tonight with the Panthers hosting Charles Henderson and the Indians hosting Percy Julian. Pregame in Eclectic starts at 6:30 with Homecoming Court and special recognition of 1976 Football State Championship and 1977 Track State Championship which celebrates its 50th Anniversary tonight! WHS homecoming festivities begin tonight at 6:30PM with recognition of court and alumni and crowning of Homecoming Queen, also the Pigg Enterprises Scoreboard Show is live at We2 Sports Complex tonight!The Lady Panthers Flag football will host LAMP next Tuesday while the Panther Cross Country team travels to the Oak Mountain Invitational on Saturday.HHS Volleyball is at Percy Julian on Monday at 4:30 and at home vs. Marbury on Thursday at 4:30PM. SEHS and WHS volleyball will match up this week in Millbrook starting at 4:30PM. ECHS Volleyball is in action next Monday at home against ACA, Tuesday at Ben Russell and Thursday at Beauregard.WHS Theatre Guild presentation of The Wizard of Oz opens next Thursday, so visit the school website for details!See You at The Pole is this Wednesday starting at 7:00AM in front of the participating schools; take the opportunity to attend.Have a great afternoon and enjoy the weekend!Every Student Empowered, Every Student Succeeds.
