I've had a Christmas Acapella Choir for several seasons now, and it's always been such a blast! This year I decided to offer a Spring Acapella Choir for any students who were interested. This group is comprised of vocal and piano students of mine, as well as a sibling of a student. In total, there were 17 preteens and teens who decided to participate. I arranged and wrote the music for each of these songs using some ideas from other arrangements I had found and adding some things from my own imagination. These amazing young people volunteered their time to practice both individually and collectively in order to learn 4 brand new songs with anywhere from 3 to 5 part harmonies. They had the opportunity to share the result of their beautiful voices working together at several different events. Their tour included performing at our Spring Recitals, a local coffee shop, caroling throughout the neighborhood, and visiting a local retirement home. It was such a sweet experience and I am so blessed to have all these young people willing and excited to share their gifts with others! 💕
