The Schola Saint George is a school of "chivalric" martial arts, following a structured development curriculum based on historical sources, but also emphasizing armoured combat, sparring and tournaments.

Exercising in arms through the medieval style tournament is both a reward and a test for all the effort and training put in at weekly practice!
As we move through summer, a number of folks have expressed interest in a Birmingham group. If you're interested, message us and we'll put you in touch with Daniel! If you're in Auburn / Opelika, we have a satellite group there, too! Or our main group is in Montgomery/Wetumpka. For classes in any of these places, shoot us a message!

Summer is here and we’re still having fun a few times per week, training and fighting! The Sword in Two Hands book is out now in hardcover and paperback, too!

We are continuing with practice! Sunday classes are $10 and are from 1-3. Come on down and try the sword, spear and dagger!

We've had good response from January's FaceBook ad, so a 2022 cohort of new students is starting! It's a great time to begin, since there are other folks also just starting out. Come check out a class on Sunday afternoons or Tuesday evenings! The main classes are in Wetumpka, but we also now have a Friday early evening class in Opelika for those in the Auburn area.
In order to make it possible for more folks to attend, the Sunday practice is being moved to the afternoon, from 1-3pm. The shop and such are still open earlier, but this should enable folks with late morning church commitments or a distance to drive to come on Sunday! We have a new cohort of new folks starting, so it's a great time to try us out!
