During Petapalooza Week at camp, students learned about a variety of animals and enjoyed making their own cats, dogs, and birds.

Campers wrapped up their adventures “Around the World” with stops in Italy and France. They enjoyed making their version of spaghetti and meatballs, and sharing their newly stamped passports with each other!

Today, staff from the parish and Corpus Christi School gathered for a retreat at the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist. Led by Sister Fiat Marie and Joseph Gagliardi, the retreat provided an opportunity for staff to step away, reflect on their vision and goals for the parish, and prayerfully consider what lies ahead.

Staff also celebrated Mass together, a reminder that all we do begins with Christ and is rooted in our shared faith.

It was a meaningful day of prayer, reflection, and fellowship as the parish and school teams continue to discern how they can best serve the parish community and live out the Catholic faith as true disciples of Christ.

This week in Summer Extension, students are traveling around the world! First stop: Egypt. Campers made Egyptian collars and pyramids and practiced their moves so they could “Walk Like an Egyptian!”

Campers enjoyed an exciting week “On the Farm” last week. In addition to completing transfer drawing with oil pastels, they used romaine lettuce to stamp their farm fresh bouquets of flowers. Our students are so creative!!

In keeping with this week’s “Sailing Away” theme, campers are brushing up on their nautical knowledge. Students in Kindergarten – Grade 4 learned how important the wind is when someone is sailing, as well as how lighthouses keep sailors safe, particularly during storms and at night. They were excited to build their own sailboats and lighthouses!

Campers were excited for this week’s theme, The Three Little Pigs. After listening to different versions of the classic fairytale, students painted their own pigs and constructed houses out of toothpicks and gumdrops. Later, the Big Bad Wolf attempted to blow their houses down. They were thrilled to see how their projects held up under pressure!
