LUNCH ON THE LAWN - NEW DATE!

Due to the upcoming heat wave, we’re moving our very first Lunch on the Lawn to Friday, October 2! We want everyone to be able to enjoy this new PTA tradition comfortably, so we’re looking forward to a cooler day together on the lawn. 💙💛

Parents and special people are invited to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy lunch outside on the front lawn with their Python! This event is for Westwood View students and their attending parent or special person only; younger siblings will not be able to attend.

You can:

* Bring lunch for your child to enjoy together, OR
* Have your child receive a school-provided bagged lunch.

Kids will eat during their regularly scheduled lunch time with their classmates. If you aren’t able to attend, no worries at all - your child will still enjoy lunch outside with their class!

Friday, October 2

Hi all!! Westwood View has the wonderful opportunity to have a sister school… Comanche Elementary!!

Our sister school partnership connects our students directly with peers across the SMSD to foster empathy, shared learning, and true community connections. Our pen pal program is designed to give our students a meaningful way to connect with other peers outside of our feeder patterns. Our kindness cart, snack drive and PJ drive is a way to give back to another community while creating a strong network of support between schools.

Together, we are teaching our students that strong communities are built on simple acts of kindness, understanding, and mutual support.

Our first chance to help us by stocking the teachers’ kindness cart! This will be essential for the teaching staff—snacks, toiletries, and more. If you’d like to help with this drive, please Venmo $5 to . Thanks so much for supporting Comanche Elementary!!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL SPIRIT WEAR - ORDER BY FRIDAY! 🐍💙💛
We’re pretty excited about this year’s spirit wear and especially the prices! 🙌 We found a fantastic local printer, which means we’re able to offer our Westwood View gear at significantly lower prices than last year. In fact, many of our items are nearly ⅓ of last year’s price and there’s NO SHIPPING CHARGE because orders are delivered right to school for distribution!

Three designs. Multiple colors. Adult’s and children’s sizes. T-shirts, hoodies & crewnecks. Something for everyone!

A little reminder that our BooHoo Breakfast is tomorrow morning! 🥐☕️

Join us in the school library right after morning drop-off for a chance to meet other parents, grab a little breakfast, and ease into this big new chapter.

The BooHoo Breakfast is a special welcome for our Kindergarten families, but all Westwood View parents are welcome! Come say hello and get to know your Python community.

Some of our PTA Chairs will be there to answer your questions, tell you a little more about what the PTA does, and help you get signed up if you’d like to join.
