Dr. Peter Manley of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute presented Team Xaverian with a commemorative plaque this week. Since first riding in the Pan Mass Challenge in 2007, Team Xaverian has now raised over $385,000 for the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Outcomes clinic, founded by Dr. Chris Turner '85. The team has over 20 members in its group riding in the PMC each year. Xaverian, Fisher House, and the Boston Bruins co-sponsored a hockey game at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough between the Boston Bruins alumni and active duty members of the Army Reserve. Xaverian’s own Henry Bruckner ’17 represented the Hawks as a member of the Bruins alumni team. The game was held in honor of Sgt. Adam Kennedy a graduate of the class of 2000. This April will be the 10 year anniversary of Adam's death and ultimate sacrifice he gave for our country. Homecoming at Xaverian is truly a day for the entire community as alumni, parents, faculty and families come together for this fall tradition.
