Five Westwood High alumni traveled to Italy, October 3-14, 2024, with the Westwood COA. Paul Meriden ('73), Wendy Wilhelm ('65), Jennifer Barsamian ('92), Vickie Wilhelm DeVoy ('79), Wendy Badger Lewis ('73)

It is with sadness that we share with you the news of "Coach" Russell Downes's passing yesterday afternoon (9/22/24).

The family thanks everyone for their prayers, support, and visits.

Per Russ's family, there are no plans for a memorial gathering in the near future. The family's current vision and hope is to celebrate his life next spring as part of an alumni baseball game at the Westwood High School field that bears his name. Information will be shared once there are more details.

Please keep Russ's children - Ken, Susan, and Nancy, - and their families in your prayers.

The class of 1961 had a great showing at the alumni gathering on August 1 at the Bubbling Brook.

The annual gathering of any Westwood High alumni will take place on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Bubbling Brook Ice Cream. The class of 1961 is gathering from 1:00-4:00 pm and all Alumni are gathering from 4:00-8:00 pm. All are welcome during either time frame. The kitchen is not open but Captain Marden's Seafood (https://www.captainmardens.com/food-truck/) will be there from 11:30-7:30.

The Westwood High School class of 1973 has taken on the monumental task of creating a book to honor all veterans who graduated from WHS. This book will be available to have on display at any reunion. If you are, or know of, a veteran and would like to be included, please send the following information to [email protected]

Mass. teen's special skill earns him visits with top college football programs Westwood High senior Joe Vinci is one of the top recruits in the nation at his position, but he didn't find his niche until two years ago.

The annual gathering of any Westwood High alumni will take place on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 5:00-8:00 pm. Be aware that they are not serving food this year - just ice cream.
