Selected rising Juniors and Seniors enrolled in the TRIO-Educational Talent Search Program at PNW-Westville, recently traveled to Nashville, Tennessee also known as, “Music City” for an exciting cultural and educational experience. ETS students visited The Civil Rights Museum, The Grand Ole Opry, and the African American Museum of Music.

Equally as important, students toured the campuses of Vanderbilt University, Tennessee State (HBCU), and Fisk University (HBCU), all of which, were eye opening experiences with teachable moments and memories that will last a lifetime! ETS WV Director and Talent Search Student Kayla Campbell of Michigan City High School, collaborated for a workshop presentation at the Urban League of Northwest Indiana’s Annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Symposium held on the campus of Valparaiso University. Kayla joined Mr. Rainey to present to a host of K-12 Educators, College Access Professionals, Business Leaders, and Community Leaders within the Northwest Indiana region. The presentation centered on navigating the multigenerational workforce. Congratulations and kudos to Kayla Campbell for an outstanding job as a Moderator for the workshop.
