It was too hot to play outside, so we brought the fun inside! Footraces with Mr. Storm, “ice cream cones”, hula hoop houses, and more! The kids got along well and played hard! We finished the afternoon with some quiet play and reading time.

We are excited to begin afternoon extended day today! Please return your children’s enrollment forms as soon as possible if you have not done so already. Reminder: extended day ends at 5:30. We are not running buses until September 14, so students will need to be picked up. Please call the office if you have any questions. Thank you! We hope to have a full house in extended day!

Today is the last day of summer camp! First through fifth grades watched “Hoppers” in the cafeteria followed by roasted hot dogs and s’mores for lunch, while PK/K enjoyed campfire log pancakes and went to the splash pad after lunch. We hope everyone has a safe and happy rest of the summer! Huge shoutout to all our staff for their hard work and dedication! Jacket Pride! 💜💛💜💛

Our last wonderful Wednesday of camp! PK/K enjoyed storytime and dug for fossils, and first through fifth went to the splash pad. Second through fifth grade boys learned about hygiene and received personal care packages.

Tomorrow is our last day of camp! First through fifth grades will watch a movie in the cafeteria, so please feel free to send blankets and movie snacks if you wish. (We will have Little Debbies and water bottles.) Students can also wear pajamas if they want to! Please do not send toys to school. We look forward to having a fun last day together!

For our last terrific Tuesday, first through fifth grades went to the library and dug for dinosaurs and shells. Then, we did a water balloon challenge, followed by our much-anticipated egg drop challenge!

Somehow we fit in a hygiene class for our second through fifth grade girls! If you have a girl in these grades, ask them the main reason why we wash our hands and bodies…

Tomorrow, first through fifth grades will go to the splash pad for the last time! Our boys will have their hygiene class right after breakfast, and PK/K will go to the library for storytime.

It’s our final Monday! Students created campsites, played hot potato water balloon toss, and enjoyed what may have been their last “normal” day of summer camp! As always, we have campers of the day, but we also had a huge compliment from Ms. Clark, who said that first grade was so well-behaved today that she wanted to nominate the whole class for camper of the day! What a wonderful “problem” to have! Keep it up, campers! See you tomorrow!

This Thankful Thursday, we are grateful for FIELD TRIPS! Getting to take students to places they otherwise may not have been is such a wonderful experience for kids and adults alike! PK-2nd grade went to Amazeum and marveled at all the interactive exhibits they got to try! Grades 3-5 went to War Eagle Cavern, panned for minerals, and explored trails and caves! Memories were made, the kids got along, and so many people bragged on how well-behaved our kids are!

Thank you to all of our amazing staff who nurtured and cared for our students like they would their own children. Hope everyone rests up and comes back full-steam for our last week of summer camp!
