Education at the Co-op follows a child-centered approach which views the child as a whole individual and his or her needs, questions and sensibilities are given individual attention. A primary teaching goal is for the children to view themselves as capable life-long learners. The strong belief is that a family’s willingness to participate in the functions of our school fosters an early example for our children of the cooperation that is an integral part of education.

The children experimented with blowing India ink to create bold, unexpected lines, then returned to their work to paint and add details. This process-based project encouraged patience, creativity, and lots of joyful discovery.

Each piece is completely unique—just like the artists who made them.
