Last week we shared our Teachers’ Lounge Amazon Wish List, and we’re giving it another little boost as we get closer to the start of school! 🍎✏️

We’d love to have the lounge stocked and ready to welcome our Ocosta teachers and staff back for another school year, but we still have quite a few items left on our list!

It’s time to stock up on Ocosta Wildcat gear! We have hoodies, T-shirts, crewnecks, and tote bags available for our first round of Spirit Gear orders!

If you aren’t ready to order yet, don’t panic. A second round of Spirit Gear orders will open September 1st.

🌼OCOSTA PTO MUM SALE IS BACK! 🌼

We’re kicking off the new school year with our first fundraiser in of the year, and what better way to welcome fall than with beautiful mums! 🐾❤️🖤

8” Potted Mums — $15 each
🌼 Assorted fall colors
🌼 Colors will be random, no requests will be taken. You can choose at pick up
🌼 All proceeds benefit Ocosta PTO and help us continue supporting our students, staff, and school throughout the year!

📅 Orders due: September 6th

🚚 Delivery: 3rd week of September to Ocosta Elementary School
🕒 Pickup: 3:00–5:30 PM at the Elementary School

WE’RE BACK, WILDCATS! 🐾

The Ocosta PTO took a little summer break to recharge, enjoy the sunshine, and now s ummer is winding down, and we’re back to our usual PTO shenanigans! ❤️🖤

First up: restocking the Teachers’ Lounge before the start of school! 🍎✏️

We’ve put together an Amazon Wish List with snacks, drinks, coffee, paper products, and other goodies to help welcome our amazing Ocosta staff back for another school year.

🎓 Ocosta PTO Scholarship Applications Are Open! 🎓

The Ocosta PTO Scholarship is available for members of the Ocosta Class of 2026! One student will receive a $500 scholarship to help with their first semester’s tuition. Because apparently adulthood wasn’t already expensive enough.

📅 Applications Due:
Friday, May 22nd at 6:00 PM

✅ Application Requirements:
• Ocosta 2026 Graduating Class
• 2.7 GPA or higher
• Letter of nomination
• Resume
• Transcript (unofficial is okay)
• 1 letter of reference

Today, we want to give a very special THANK YOU to our incredible bus staff! 🚌🐾♥️🐾♥️🐾

Every single day, you are the first smile many students see in the morning and the last friendly face they see before heading home. Rain or shine, early mornings and long afternoons — you safely transport our students with care, patience, and kindness, and we are so grateful for all that you do.

We loved being able to treat our amazing bus staff to yogurt parfaits and muffins during your meeting this week as a small token of appreciation for the HUGE impact you make each day.

Thank you for the early mornings, the safe rides, the warm greetings, and the dedication you show to our students and families. Our school community appreciates you more than words can say! 🚌✨♥️🐾♥️🐾

There’s still time to recognize someone who makes a lasting impact on our school community.

Do you know someone who goes above and beyond for our students, supports our schools, encourages others, or quietly helps make Ocosta a better place? Nominate them for the Outstanding Wildcat Award!

This award is not about who logged the most volunteer hours. It’s about the person who makes the biggest impact through their kindness, support, dedication, and care for our kids and school community.

It’s staff appreciation week at school!! We love our teachers and staff! On behalf of the PTO and community members we provided a fiesta themed spread for lunch and take & bake pizzas to take home!
