We’re A Community Art &

SplatterBox was founded by artist couple, Kristen & Erik Sabatelli. Together they run and develop each project to gain the most out of young artists. As well as our extensive backgrounds in art we both have had years of experience in childcare and education. Together we are a highly trained team and have created a safe nurturing environment that draws out the creative instincts in every child. Our sessions, workshops, special events, and art parties are all designed to meet the visual, social, emotional, cognitive and expressive needs of each child. By providing children with high quality and exciting materials, tools, and techniques - we allow them the opportunity to explore art freely as we guide them through the process of creating multi-media art.

SWIPE —> to meet this week’s newest Squishmallow friends! 🩷

Today was the first day of Squishmallow Camp and every camper officially adopted a mini Squishmallow before bringing them to life on paper.

They named them, filled out an adoption certificate, painted a portrait, and even created a tiny canvas masterpiece for their Squishmallow’s future bedroom. 🥹

The best part?

Before camp was even over, the kids had already planned the rest of the week.

The Squishmallows decided they’re going under the sea tomorrow. 🐠🌊

I can’t wait to see where these little adventures go next. 💕

The claw has chosen…a very creative camp crew! 👽🛸✨

Today’s artists filled their galaxies with swirling color, splattered stars, flying saucers, and LOTS of little green aliens plus a few very important “ooooooos” along the way. 💚

We all loved creating this Toy Story inspired painting this morning!

Welcome to Opposite World 🌈

Today in Color Lab we threw out the rule book. Pink skies, purple trees, green suns, rainbow hills… because art doesn’t have to look like real life.

Sometimes the most creative ideas start with one simple question:

“What if?” 🎨💛

Who knew painting around something could be just as fun as painting the thing itself? 🤍🌈

Today’s colorful negative space vases were full of bright backgrounds, creative branches, and lots of little personalities. Each piece was completely different, and that’s exactly how we like it. ✨🎨

Welcome to Magic Mountain. 🍄🐌

Today we imagined what the world might look like if we were the size of a snail.

If you were the size of a snail… 🐌

🍄 A mushroom would be a mountain.
🍃 Blades of grass would turn into forests.
🌙 The moon would feel even bigger.
✨ And every little adventure would become an epic one.

I think that’s one of my favorite things about art, sometimes all it takes is a little imagination to see the world in a completely different way. ✨
