Virtual Update- All virtual applications have been processed and welcome emails have been sent to the parent email submitted with the form. Applications will close Monday, August 24, 2026 for the semester but will open back up for Spring semester in December. Chromebooks for K-5, 9-12 will be handed out at the home schools Thursday and Friday. Students are required to attend to pick up their Beginning of year paperwork, complete trainings, and pick up their assigned chromebooks. Virtual classes will begin September 1, 2026. Student will not have access to their classes or Proximity platform until September 1. We will be returning calls and answering questions throughout the week. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate all of the moving parts to this upcoming school year. Additionally, middle school students Grades 6-8 that have signed up for virtual instruction can pick up their chromebooks at the Board Office August 27 and 28. Please remember the board office is closed to the public. Please ring the buzzer and we will bring the device down to you. Thank you again for your patience and willingness to work with us!

It’s a big day for Lewis County Schools. Governor Patrick Morrisey , Senator Ben Queen , Delegate Adam Burkhammer, Ms. Long, Lewis County Board of Education, Directors, and staff gathered for a press conference to receive funding - $400,000- to cover the cost of renting Jackson’s Mill for the year along with over $120,000 pledge to help rebuilt Lewis county.

☀️📚 Summer break didn’t mean a break from learning for our teachers and ECCATs!

So many of our staff gave up part of their summer to learn, collaborate, and get ready for our students. ❤️ From i-Ready, Bridging the Gap Middle School Initiative, UFLI, Magnetic Literacy, 95 Percent Group, PBIS, and WVIMPACT Coaching—we have definitely been busy!

We can’t thank our teachers and ECCATs enough for always being willing to learn, grow, and do what is best for our kids. We have an amazing group of educators in Lewis County! ❤️🍎

We are ready for a great year!
