PCES Pickup & Drop-Off Procedures

Wildcat Families,

We want to remind everyone of our morning drop-off and afternoon pickup procedures to help keep all students safe and traffic moving smoothly.

Afternoon Pick-Up
Front vehicles should pull as far forward as possible.
Drivers should remain in their vehicles and wait for students.
Students should enter the vehicle from the curb side.
Please make sure everyone is safely buckled before leaving.
Wave to a staff member if assistance is needed.
Pull away slowly and remain cautious of your surroundings.
Morning Drop-Off
Please pull as far forward along the curb as possible before stopping to let your child out.
No passing and no parking in the drop-off line.
Please exchange quick goodbyes before entering the drop-off area so students are ready to exit.
Students should exit the vehicle from the passenger/curb side for safety.
Pull away slowly and remain cautious of your surroundings.
Important Reminder

For staff liability and student safety, we are unable to offer “open door” service. Students should be prepared to enter and exit their vehicles independently unless assistance is needed.

Peterson-Central Elementary Families,

Our hearts are with everyone across Lewis County who has been impacted by the devastating flooding. Many of our students, families, staff, and neighbors are facing incredibly difficult circumstances, and we want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

During times like these, our community always comes together to support one another. I know the strength and compassion of the Peterson-Central family, and I encourage everyone to check on neighbors, lend a helping hand where you can, and continue to keep those affected in your prayers.

As a reminder, there will be no activities in Lewis County Schools until further notice. This includes all school-sponsored events, Energy Express, practices, and extracurricular activities.

We will continue to share updates as information becomes available. Until then, please stay safe, avoid flooded roadways, and take care of yourselves and one another.
