We traveled to Japan to discover part of its culture through its flavors. 🍣🥟🍜 We explored traditional foods such as sushi, gyozas, and ramen, learning that cooking is also a way to connect, discover, compare, and understand different cultures.

🦷✨ Our teeth also tell our story.

Through exploring our bodies, we discovered that our teeth are an important part of who we are and that, just like every other part of our body, they need care, attention, and healthy habits to keep them strong and healthy.

Today’s special visit gave us the opportunity to observe, ask questions, connect, and discover. We learned about the importance of dental hygiene, how to care for our teeth, and why brushing them is much more than a routine: it is a way of taking care of ourselves. 🪥💭

How do we take care of something that helps us smile, talk, and eat every day? 💛

What we explored last month is not forgotten… it transforms, connects, and comes to life again. ✨

Today, we wanted to revisit one of those meaningful connections that left a mark: Frida Kahlo. 🎨🌺

Through thinking, observing, and creating, the children looked at her work from new perspectives, making connections between what we explored, what we thought, and what we are now able to discover.

Because learning is also about remembering, connecting, and building new meaning. 💭✨

We see. We think. We connect. We create.
And our learning continues to grow. 🌱

In our Brain, Body & Thinking inquiry unit, we began a new adventure to explore our bodies from a different perspective. 🔍✨

Through curiosity, exploration, and thinking routines, the children began to discover that our skeleton is much more than a collection of bones: it is a structure that supports us, protects us, and allows us to move!

We observed, asked questions, connected ideas, and shared our theories as we explored:

What is inside our bodies? Why do we need bones? How do we know they are there? 🤔

Friday Cooking Project 👩‍🍳🎨

Today, we explored the different ways we can physically connect with the world around us through our Cooking Project. ✨

We explored Purpose & Function: How do we use our hands, senses, movements, and different tools to create, transform, and connect?

We also made connections with Frida Kahlo, comparing and contrasting how she expressed her identity, emotions, and connections through art, while we express ourselves through cooking. 🎨🥣

We discovered that art and cooking are both forms of expression that allow us to create, communicate, connect, and give meaning to our experiences. 💭✨
