Westmoreland Middle School Families,

Please help us welcome Robert "Marshall" Williams, our new 6th Grade English teacher, to the WMS family!

Robert is 38 years old and a lifelong resident of Sumner County, Tennessee. Born and raised in the community, he values the strong connections and hometown spirit that have shaped his life. He is entering his sixth year of teaching and is passionate about helping students succeed. During his career, he has taught science for four years and English Language Arts/English Learners (ELA/EL) for one year.

Outside the classroom, Marshall enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, who has served the Westmoreland community as the nurse practitioner at the Westmoreland One to One Clinic since they married in 2016. He is also an avid Liverpool Football Club fan, enjoys listening to music—especially Pearl Jam—exploring the outdoors, and appreciating the beauty of nature.

Marshall’s greatest goal as an educator is to help students grow academically while also developing into compassionate, responsible, and confident young adults. He believes education extends beyond the classroom and is committed to creating an environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. He looks forward to continuing to invest in the future of Westmoreland and making a positive impact on the lives of his students.

This supply list has been provided by Sumner County Schools to help families prepare for a successful school year.

We’re looking for two PTO officers to help us build a small, supportive team for the upcoming school year.

Our PTO is very laid-back, meets only when needed, and doesn’t require a huge time commitment, but it is incredibly rewarding. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, this is a great opportunity to make a difference for our students, teachers, and school.

Get ready, WMS! Penny Wars kicks off Wednesday through Friday (May 6–8) during lunch and it’s time to bring the competition!

💵 HOW TO PLAY:

Add points to your grade by bringing pennies and paper money 💵💰

Want to throw off the competition? Drop silver coins in other grades’ jars to subtract their points 😏

🏆 WHAT’S AT STAKE:

The grade level that raises the most money wins FREE seating in the cafeteria for a whole week!
