SUBURBAN FAMILY MAGAZINE IS CLOSING

With the New Year brings some big news:

Though stronger than ever, effective January 1, 2024, Chicago Suburban Family magazine is going into retirement. Yes, we are closing - and doing so at the top of our game.

For 25 years, the husband and wife team of Jim and Sue Wolf have worked together to publish this wonderful magazine, of which we are so proud.

All good things must come to an end...and for us, now is simply the right time to begin the next chapter in our lives. It is with great pride that we say that our two sons, their amazing wives and five loving grandchildren are a big part of our “next chapter.”

We can’t begin to thank the scores of people who have - over the last quarter century - helped make Suburban Family the enduring success that it is today: Circulation Drivers and Directors, Event Editors, Writers, Marketing and Sales, Printers, Graphic Artists, Internet Professionals…and of course, the continuous support of our Advertisers and Readers…like you.

As we symbolically turn out the lights, please know that we will always cherish our days publishing Suburban Family Magazine…AND every-single-person whoever touched it.

Salt Creek Ballet’s The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition for our community. As SCB celebrates 38 years of Excellence in Dance, please join us for our very special presentation of The Nutcracker, including many celebrated Guest Artists.

November 25th at 2PM + 7PM and, November 26th at 1PM at Hinsdale Central High School’s Auditorium. This show is appropriate for children ages 4 and up. Join us as Clara and the Nutcracker battle the Mouse King, dance through the Kingdom of Snow, and beyond to the Kingdom of Sweets. Santa Claus will once again be joining us for our Saturday shows, so make sure to come and get pictures with Santa! Following the Sunday matinee, we will be hosting The Sugar Plum Party, an annual family favorite event. We will also be having our annual Nutcracker Boutique.
