We’re excited to welcome Zacharias Coronado to the Academy of Music and Art!
Mr. Zacharias holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Illinois State University and brings seven years of teaching experience, including six years teaching young musicians at Jefferson Middle School in Villa Park.
A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, he teaches:

🎸 Guitar
🎺 Trumpet
Mr. Zacharias believes in creating a supportive environment where students can develop great technique, express themselves through music, and reach their individual goals.

☀️ Thank You to Our Amazing Summer Staff!
Yesterday was our last day of summer camp for the 2026 season.
We hosted our very first summer camp back in 2003, and this summer we had an incredible 24 camps spread over 10 weeks!
None of this would be possible without my amazing staff. I want to take a moment to recognize and thank each of you for helping make this such a great summer.
Thank you SarahJane, Ariana, Erica, David, Daniel, Tim, Elena, Audrey, Creg, Elizabeth, Grace, and Ms. Nikki. 💚
Every one of you played an important role — whether you helped plan and organize, set up classrooms, taught a camp, prepared students for a performance, cleaned up at the end of a long day, or simply stepped in wherever you were needed.
Most importantly, thank you for creating a place where our campers could learn, create, perform, make new friends, build confidence, and have fun.
Twenty-four camps. Ten weeks. Hundreds of projects, songs, performances, laughs, and memories.

It’s hard to believe, but today is the final day of our 2026 Summer Camps at the Academy!

What an incredible summer it’s been! We’ve watched campers create amazing artwork, learn new songs, take the stage, make new friends, try new things, and — most importantly — grow in confidence along the way. 💚

A huge THANK YOU to all of the families who spent part of their summer with us and to our amazing teachers who made each week so much fun.

We’ve loved seeing the Academy filled with creativity, music, laughter, and smiling faces all summer long.

Due to interest, we’ve added a NEW Crocheting & Weaving Class on Saturdays at 12:15 PM beginning this September!
Perfect for kids who love to create with their hands, this fun, hands-on class introduces students to the colorful world of fiber arts while building creativity, patience, and confidence.

Students will learn the basics of:

🧵 Weaving
🎨 Creative fiber art projects

Whether they’re brand new to fiber arts or ready to learn new techniques, this class is a fun way to explore a unique art form and create projects they’ll be proud to take home.
