The holiday season is here, and with it comes a wonderful opportunity to share kindness and joy with children in need. We are excited to collect toy donations to support Sharing Connections in Downers Grove, and we warmly invite your family to take part 🎁🧸
This year, we are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Every donation, big or small, helps make the season a little brighter for a child who might otherwise go without. Your generosity reflects the heart of our Hummingbird community, and we are so grateful in advance for your support!
Each Hummingbird location (Westmont, Woodridge, and Elmhurst) will be available to collect in person donations until December 14th; however, for your convenience, we have also created an Amazon Wishlist.
Some ideas for donations include books, puzzles, arts and crafts, dolls, trucks, STEM kits, board games, and more. If your child would like to choose a gift themselves, it can be a wonderful way to involve them in the spirit of giving!
Thank you for helping us spread warmth, joy, and community spirit this holiday season. Together, we're excited to make a meaningful difference!

Hummingbird families- please let us know if your insurance is changing in 2026! We want to make sure your child's services are properly covered in the new year :)
As a reminder, we are in network with BCBS PPO. Our insurance team can help you navigate out of network coverage with other insurance providers who accept gap exceptions. We can directly bill to Aetna policies based on your out of network plan coverage.

Intensive therapy provides kids with the consistency, repetition, and focused practice they need to make faster and more meaningful progress. 💚
When sessions happen more often and with a clear purpose, the brain can adapt and strengthen new connections through high repetition, leading to exceptional progress in a short amount of time. Many families have seen more progress in three weeks of an intensive than in an entire year of traditional therapy!
And research backs it up:
Programs that are more intensive, with more visits, more hours, and more consistent practice, can produce larger positive effects than less intensive interventions.
