This year's summer reading program—Plant a Seed, Read—wrapped up yesterday and we want to thank everyone who participated... including our sponsors!

As a community, we read 10,774 books for a total of 367,890 minutes.

In addition, we wanted to announce that the hummingbird was chosen as our community's favorite pollinator!

And speaking of pollinators, be sure to save the date for our first Pollinator Fest. The event will take place at the Ty Warner Pavilion off Burr Oak Drive on Saturday, September 12, from 10 am - noon.

Stop by and help us celebrate ALL of our pollinators!

It's a great weekend to be outdoors and we have the perfect reason for you to get out—a StoryWalk!

This month's StoryWalk features the book HIKE by Pete Oswald.

Enjoy the story with the whole family while you stroll through Diane Main Park—200 W 59th Street.

Simply follow the path around the lake, reading signs placed along the trail, to take in the full story.

This StoryWalk will be available through Monday, August 10!
