What a way to wrap up the first week of classes! π¦ The children released their first monarch butterfly this morning, and she even stopped to land on a friend before flying away. The children identified her as a female monarch β a perfect end to the week!

This week, our Pre-K and Little Learners tried their hand at pond dipping after learning about aquatic bugs and insects! πͺ² Using small nets to scoop and sort through the water, the children got a taste of what real field scientists do!

This week, our Pre-K and Little Learners explored insect themed nature stations! π The children dug for bugs in the soil, studied insect exoskeletons on the light table, and inspected insects up close with magnifying glasses, so much learning packed into one day!
